Brazil manager Dunga has recalled AC Milan midfielder Kaka to his squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers, but the midfielder’s club teammate Ronaldinho has been sensationally dropped. The move will spark much debate among the nation’s fans, particularly given that the 28-year old has featured in the side’s opening qualifying fixtures.
However, the return of Kaka will be a boost to the side, with the World Player of the Year missing the 3-0 win over Chile and the goalless draw with Bolivia due to a knee injury.
Manchester City forward Robinho and Manchester United youngster Anderson are joined by another of Milan’s Brazilian contingent, with Alexandre Pato included by Dunga in the 22-man squad
Inter Milan’s Mancini has been called up for the first time in over two years as the side look to ease the pressure on their manager, despite their current second-place standing.
The disappointing performance against Bolivia added to calls for the relatively inexperienced manager to step-down, though many fans may elect to question his decision to leave Ronaldinho out should results not go their way in the forthcoming clashes.
