Drogba Set For Six Weeks Out

Chelsea's injury woes have been compounded by the news that star striker Didier Drogba is likely to spend the next six weeks on the sidelines...Drogba was forced off the pitch during the second half of last night's Champions League stalemate against CFR Cluj after sustaining what was initially thought to be an ankle injury.
However, it has since emerged that the Ivorian forward may actually have damaged ligaments in his right knee, meaning he could be out of action until mid-to-late November.
If confirmed, it would be a huge blow to the Blues, who had only just welcomed back the 30-year-old after he missed the first month of the season with a similar problem in his left knee.
The injury list at Stamford Bridge is beginning to grow dangerously long, as Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, John Terry and Alex also picked up injuries in Romania.
Michael Essien, Ricardo Carvalho and Deco were already sidelined, meaning Luiz Felipe Scolari's options could be severely limited for this weekend's clash against Aston Villa.
"I’ve four days to build a team for Sunday. Maybe I will know the situation we have better in the next two days. At the moment though I have no idea," Scolari told The Sun.
"Ashley Cole felt his back was sore but he will be ready for Sunday. Alex has a problem with his back and so has Terry.
"We will have to assess them and see how bad they are."
Drogba is scheduled to have scans later today to confirm the extent of the damage.
