PSG To Loan Gallas?

Estranged Arsenal defender William Gallas has been linked with a move to PSG after being stripped of his stripes with the Gunners...Ignominiously replaced by Cesc Fabregas as Arsenal captain following his bizarre outburst last week, in which he was highly critical of his team-mates, William Gallas has been linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain by respected English newspaper, The Guardian. The French international could move to the Parc des Princes as soon as January as Paul Le Guen’s side are believed to be able to shoulder at least some of the player’s wage burden. At 31 years old, Gallas certainly has plenty of mileage left in his tank and is known to be keen to move back to France at some stage in the future. However, that day was not expected to arrive for at least a couple more seasons. Thought of as a dozing giant in the French game until this summer, recent investment in the Parisian club has seen established names such as Claude Makélélé and Mateja Kezman attracted to the French capital. In return, results on the field have started to improve, with PSG defeating ‘the big three’ of Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille and Girondins de Bordeaux this season en route to fifth spot in Ligue 1. Charles Villeneuve, president of les Parisiens, has been in the market for a commanding central defender since the summer, and Gallas would certainly fit the bill perfectly.
