The World Cup Is Back - Get Ready For A Week's Action In Europe, South America, Africa, And Beyond

After over a month off, the World Cup qualifiers are resuming, and we here at Goal.com are going to bring you all the action as it happens. For many of us, the focus is on European qualification. England must wait until midweek to come up against Ukraine, but Italy travel to Montenegro on Saturday while Spain will welcome Turkey. There are other intriguing ties, too: the Netherlands face Scotland, France meet Lithuania, and Portugal welcome Sweden in UEFA matches. But there's action elsewhere, too. CONMEBOL qualification in South America sees Argentina face off with Venezuela before Brazil travel to Ecuador this weekend. Down in Africa, the home of World Cup 2010, CAF qualification continues apace, with highlights including Nigeria's visit to Mozambique and Egypt's welcoming Zambia. North and Central America's CONCACAF qualification sees United States visit El Salvador and Mexico face Costa Rica to get things started. The only dormant part of the football globe, then, is Oceania, but even then there is friendly action as New Zealand meet Thailand! Such is the breadth and depth of global football here on Goal.com: we will bring you exhaustive accounts of the major fixtures, with all the previews, news, views, reports and ratings that you love, but for a true look at our footballing planet you have also come to the right place.
