I Have Decided My Future (Confederations Cup Spain's 1-0 Iraq )
David Villa has revealed that he has made his decision regarding his future and that his agent is currently working to resolve it.
His comments come in the wake of Spain's 1-0 victory over Iraq in the Confederations Cup this evening which takes them through to the semi-finals.
Villa grabbed the only goal of the match in the second-half and was questioned afterwards about his future and if he was thinking about it.
"I only have one decision. My agent already knows what that is and he is working towards it. I am relaxed here," AS quote him as saying.
Asked whether there is any date by which he will resolve his future, Villa replied "I have no idea", before talking about the game this afternoon.
"Iraq closed down a lot, with a line of five defenders and four midfielders in front. That made it difficult to receive balls," he explained.
"We knew therefore that we would have to take advantage of the chances we had and we did. Although it is true we could have scored more."
Villa also looked ahead to the rest of the tournament, explaining that whoever they face in the next round will be tough.
"Whoever goes out goes out, it will still be difficult, but we want to win the tournament and show that we are better than the other seven teams," he said.
