Barcelona Moves For Cesc Fabregas And Robinho Dubbed ‘CR10’

Barcelona will make a move to try and prise Robinho away from Manchester City in January and then add Cesc Fabregas to their squad next summer, according to a report. El Mundo Deportivo have mimicked Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo's 'CR9' nickname by giving the move for the Premier League-based pair the moniker 'CR10'. The Catalan daily sportspaper reports that an agreement between Barca president Joan Laporta and Fabregas was sealed in the summer, and now a deal with Arsenal must be agreed. Whether it is Laporta who seals that move will not matter, because the favourite to replace him at the helm is Sandro Rosell, and he will certainly look to re-sign the Catalan playmaker. Robinho is also back on the club's agenda, with coach Pep Guardiola hopeful that the Brazilian can become part of his squad. After taking the reins at Camp Nou last year, the coach told Barcelona that he wanted the skilful forward, but Madrid were unwilling to do business with their arch rivals. Despite having stated he is happy in England, El Mundo Deportivo believe that Robinho would jump at the chance to move to Barca, and both Laporta and Rosell both are well-positioned to do a deal.
