We'll Let You Know, Barca
Barcelona director of football Txiki Begiristain has revealed that should Franck Ribery be put up for sale by Bayern Munich, the Catalan outfit will be first to know.
Recent reports suggest that Barca's fiercest rivals Real Madrid have already agreed terms on a five year deal with the player's representative, Alain Migliaccio, in a proposed summer 2010 move.
Begiristain says, however, that they will be made aware of possible moves regarding the player and added that they have a good relationship with the German side. He did admit that any bid from Barcelona would be subject to the price set by Bayern Munich for the French star.
"We have a great relationship with Bayern Munich and eventually we told them we were interested in signing Ribery. Twice we have asked how much they wanted for him and both times we were told he was not for sale. And it is true, because they said the same thing to Chelsea and Real Madrid.
"If Bayern Munich puts him on the market, we'll know first. Another thing is the price, of course."
