July: Extends contract with Villarreal until 2010. 2007 - June 30: Agreed to move to Club Atletico de Madrid on a four-year deal reported to be in the region of €21m. July: Represented Uruguay in the Copa America of Venezuela. He scored three goals in 6 matches as they finished in 4th place.
