UEFA Player of the Year Nomination

UEFA Player of the Year Nomination. Inter Milan put five players in UEFA Player of the Year Nomination. A number of 12 players included in this list.
Nominating candidates for best player was announced last night. From Inter, candidates include the Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder and Argentine striker, Diego Milito who scored both goals as Inter Milan beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final last. Munich, the German champion, represented the wing from the Netherlands, Arjen Robben.
Barcelona, who eliminated defending champion Inter Milan in the semifinals, placing four players. Among them are Argentina striker Lionel Messi, who won the title earlier this year. French goalkeeper Hugo Llions, also included in the list of nominations, after carrying Olympique Lyon semi-finals. While the Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney became the only candidate from the UK. Not a single Premier League club who advanced past the quarter-finals.
