I Never Promised Kaka To Chelsea - Berlusconi

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has denied rumours which claimed that he had promised Kaka to Chelsea as part of the deal which saw Andriy Shevchenko move back to San Siro. The Ukrainian’s return to San Siro was complicated and it took some heavy convincing to persuade the Blues to part-company with the striker this summer. A number of reports in Italy suggested that Berlusconi used his muscle to push the deal in Milan’s favour and that he also dealt Roman Abramovic the Kaka trump card. However, the chief has denied the speculation and insists that he has never promised or offered the Brazilian to the Premier League side. “I have never promised Kaka to Chelsea at all, that’s all we need,” Berlusconi told Telelombardia. “Milan has always delighted fans and we have been very successful and that is what counts. Shevchenko is a great player and I am sure the fans love to have him back. “Ronaldinho? He has made the fans happy and it was a serious move by the club to have brought him in.” Kaka to Chelsea has been a headline dominating all of the world’s newswires but the playmaker is unlikely to move. The Selecao star has revealed that he has no intention of leaving and, with the club’s resistance on selling him, his future looks more than secure.
