Henry Heading Henry Heading Out Of Camp Now?
Pep Guardiola may rate the French forward highly, but the Barcelona board does not share his enthusiasm and could look to cash in on Thierry Henry at the end of the current season.Barcelona's board are preparing to sell Thierry Henry in the summer and replace him with Franck Ribery or Yoann Gourcuff despite Pep Guardiola being happy with the Frenchman, according to a report.
The Blaugrana directors are not as convinced by the former Arsenal forward's performances even in an improved second season at the club and are considering cashing in on him.
AS believe that Henry will only be able to stay at Camp Nou if Guardiola insists upon it, but if assurances are given that either Ribery or Gourcuff will join then he may agree to a sale.
Barcelona paid €27 million to land the former Monaco and Juventus star from Arsenal and would hope to recoup a large percentage of that by offering him to Premier League clubs.
Henry has improved markedly this term after enduring a tough start to life in the Catalan capital and has formed an impressive trident with Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o.
The trio have scored almost 50 goals between them this term and that despite Henry rarely reproducing the form that made him so famous at Highbury.
With a contract until 2011, the 31-year-old could insist on staying, especially if he knows Guardiola still likes him, and because he has admitted in the past that he would not want to play for another English team.
