Spain have completed a memorable year at the top of the FIFA World Rankings as they have remained in first place while those below them have swapped places after mixed results.
Vicente del Bosque replaced Luis Aragones at the helm of la Furia Roja last summer and the switch has been almost seamless as the team have maintained their incredible form.
After winning the European Championships, Spain are now on the verge of qualifying for next year's World Cup Finals after an unbeaten run in the group stages so far.
There were no real changes in the top 39 places last month in FIFA's list, but this time there has been plenty of movement, albeit with teams only moving the odd position up or down.
Italy moved up to fourth spot, while Germany dropped a place to third and were replaced by the Dutch while England and Argentina swapped sixth and seventh places as the Three Lions moved up.
Paraguay's superb run of form that have seen them top the South American World Cup qualifying table
became the biggest movers in the FIFA list as they leapt from 17th to 13th.
Serbia and Ukraine both moved into the top 20 while Cameroon and Bulgaria dropped out.
