Trezeguet Set For Month Out

David Trezeguet could be set for a month out with a knee injury as Juventus face an injury crisis going into this weekend’s clash with Cagliari.Trezeguet has only just recently returned to first team action following fitness problems, and he appeared as a late substitute during the 1-0 win over Udinese on Sunday, before playing for 87 minutes of Wednesday’s Champions League triumph over Zenit St Petersburg. However, the Frenchman is still plagued by tendonitis in his right knee, and reports suggest that he may be forced to sit out the next month of action. The Bianconeri face a real injury crisis going into this Sunday’s trip to Sardinia to play Cagliari. Mauro Camoranesi will definitely miss the game with an ankle injury, as will Alessandro Del Piero who is suffering from a slight strain to the medial collateral ligament in the right knee. Key defender Giorgio Chiellini is a doubt too, also with a knee injury. In view of this, Nicola Legrottaglie and Olof Mellberg are likely to be the centre back pairing, with Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta resuming their strike-partnership at the other end of the field. These injuries may also open up the door for young starlet Sebastian Giovinco, who has yet to play a single minute this season in Serie A or the Champions League groups.
